    When does the sign up process start?

    You can start signing up right away. Please go to the “Register” page to do so.

    How do I sign up for the tournament?

    You can sign up online by completing the Online Form. Please note that the registration is not complete until the payment has been received. For more details on sign up, visit our Register page.

    What is the last day to sign up for the tournament?

    There are limited entries available for the tournament and it is on a first come first served basis. Sign up closes on April 10, 2015 or when we have received the maximum number of sign ups, whichever comes earlier. A notification will be posted on the website if the sign ups are going to close earlier than April 10, 2015

    Who can participate in the tournament?

    Amateur golfers, both men and  women, above 18 years of age, with a valid handicap certificate from their home club, not more than 1 month old.

    TOURNAMENT PACKAGE, FORMAT & RULES

    What are the dates of the tournament?

    The event dates are from May 9th to May 16th, 2015. Participants are required to arrive on 9th May 2015 to enable registration and to join the welcome dinner on the same night. Departure transfers to the George Airport are scheduled on 16th May, 2015

    What is included in the tournament Package?

    Can I sign up for the tournament but not take up the accommodation and ground transfers?

    No. The tournament is only open to those who avail the hospitality package including accommodation and ground transfers.

    What is the schedule for the tournament?

    The final schedule will be sent to the registered participants along with other details. You can also find the tentative schedule on the Tournament Schedule page.

    What is your cancellation policy?

    Participants will receive a full refund if they cancel their bookings before 1st March 2015 subject to cancellation charges of USD 50 and subject to the terms & conditions of the event suppliers/partners. For cancellations between 1st March & 1st April, 2015, the cancellation charges will be 25% of the full package. There will be no refunds for cancellations after 1st April, 2015.

    What is the format of the tournament?

    The format & rules for the tournament will be published soon. It is an individual Amateur Golf Tournament.

    What prizes are available?

    The prize categories for the tournament will be published soon.

    Can I user Range Finders during the tournament?

    Yes, you can use Range Finders during the tournament but only for distance, not for slope.

    What is the handicap requirement?

    0-24 for Men
    0-36 for Women

    Any Handicap above this will be reduced to 24 and 36.

    PAYMENT

    How can I make my payment for the Tournament Package?

    After sign up, you will receive an invoice with instructions on how to make your payment. You can pay online using your debit or credit card or via internet banking. You can also make bank transfers or deposit your Cheques/DDs into our bank account.

    By when do I have to make the payment?

    After you sign up for the tournament and receive an online invoice with instructions for payment, you are required to make the payment within 3 days. If the price is subject to an on-going offer, payment will have to be made before the end of the offer period or within 3 days whichever is sooner. Participation in the tournament is only confirmed upon receipt of payment

    Do I have to pay an additional charge if I choose online payment through credit cards, debit cards or internet banking?

    Yes, there is an additional charge of 2.5% to the total invoice amount if you choose to pay online.

    ACCOMMODATION

    Check in time for the hotels?

    The Check in time is 14:00 hrs.

    Check out time for the hotels?

    The Check out time is 11:00 hrs.

    Will I get Early Check-in at the hotel?

    Early check-in is not part of the Event package and is subject to room availability. However, at an additional cost, you can get guaranteed Early Check-in.

    Will I get Late Check-Out at the hotel?

    Late check out is also not part of the Event package and is subject to room availability. However, at an additional cost, you can get Late Check out until 6 pm.

    GENERAL

    What are the visa requirements for South Africa?

    Visa for South Africa is required to be taken in advance for most nationalities. The average processing time is 10 working days and therefore it is essential to apply in advance. Please check with your local travel agent for more details.

    Can Golftripz book my flights as well?

    Yes. We do flight bookings as well. Please write to us at events@golftripz.com for your requirements.

    Which airport in South Africa should I arrive & depart from?

    You should arrive in Cape Town on the 9th of May, 2015 and depart from the George Airport on the 16th of May, 2015. George has a well-connected domestic airport and your tournament package ends in George. You can choose to fly out of George to locations such as Cape Town & Johannesburg or drive back to Cape Town.
